Dear Riders, Sponsors, Volunteers & Friends,

It was a bonus day for the 12th Ride for Hope motorcycle ride. 160+ riders, meal attendees and volunteers came out to support this event, and $17,089 was raised to benefit the ministry of Pine Valley Camp!

The 98 bikes went out from the New Castle Harley-Davidson Dealership and rode 80+ miles on local scenic country roads. Incorporated into the route this year was a 5-stop dice roll, giving participants a chance to win a prize at the end of the ride. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed the food provided by Muddy Creek BBQ, Monte Cello’s Italian Restaurant and Wexford Community Presbyterian Church, listened to the Hot Rod Willie Band, and heard who the winners were of the various basket items, raffles and dice roll game.

Thank you to the many individuals and organizations who gave of their time, talents and treasures to make this event a success. We had 73 sponsors lend their support financially or with an in-kind gift, and 25+ individuals who volunteered their time to direct traffic, register riders, serve food, run the raffles, and do whatever else was necessary to ensure the day ran smoothly. A special Thank You to the New Castle Harley-Davidson dealership for once again hosting the ride, and providing the prizes for the dice roll. Your willingness to partner with Pine Valley is very much appreciated!

The monies raised will be directed towards Pine Valley’s Legacy Dining Hall, a 300 seat structure currently being built on the camp’s Ellwood City property. Because the dining hall serves as the heart of camp where much activity and connections occur year-round, the extra space it will provide will allow Pine Valley to continue serving the hurting and at-risk kids who come to camp each year, as well as their families as new programming is developed. This summer, Pine Valley served 627 campers over its 7-week camp program. Celebrating its 30th ministry year, Pine Valley remains committed to reaching out to underserved youth and continues to faithfully fulfill the mission of “Rebuilding Broken Lives through Christ.”

In closing, from Matthew Reichart, Sr., the Executive Director of Pine Valley Camp, and the Event Team members, Thank You for participating! Your generosity, commitment and involvement are a blessing and we are grateful.

Sincerely,

Event Team Members:
