Training and Important Dates

A well-trained staff is key to serving our campers well. Working at camp is a demanding and important job; you will be impacting the lives of children. While hiring great people who love working with children is necessary, there is so much more- we need to make sure that you are fully trained and prepared to serve your campers every day with the right attitude and possessing the skills and knowledge to keep them safe.

Leadership staff arrive at camp two weeks before our campers do (June 1-6), to get trained in their position, create lessons, learn games, and bond with their co-leaders.

On June 7 we will have a day dedicated for our already certified lifeguards to know our EAP's (Emergency Action Plan) and get familiar with our pool.

Ten days before our campers arrive (June 9-16), all of our summer staff arrive and we begin our full staff training. All of our staff go through this training in order to build relationships with everyone on staff, get familiar with camp and learn how we operate during the summer. We train our staff on camp culture, understanding our ministry values, and in skills that will help them be most effective in serving and ministering to our campers.
